08.11.11 Family-day:
3 girls from the R-litter went for a visit by their dad Teckels Quiz called Oscar. It was a great
success,
they played for 2 hours before the company had time to enjoy a break on the bench.

15.06.11 Rika leaving:
Monday 13/6-2011 Rika left to Finland, in the future she will live in Turku (Åbo) with Minna and 2 chokolate brown
dachshounds. Rika is going to train blood tracking in the summer, hunt a little in winter, show a little and otherwise
lay on the couch. We hope she will do great in all disciplines, anyway she will have a live all dachshounds will envy her.

30.05.11 Shownews:
The show season has started for Kennel Teckel. We participated at Danish Teckel Club's 2 shows in May both times
with Teckels Smirnoff in puppy class and Teckels Kalinka in veteran s class.
Smirnoff had his debut on Nordic Winner Show in Slangerup 07.05 and was Best Shorthaired Puppy with a really beautiful critique.
Kalinka was Best Shorthaired Veteran and later the Best Veteran of the Show, well done by the 9½ year old lady, who really enjoyed
being shown.
22.05 we went to the show in Silkeborg again with great success. Smirnoff started the day going Best Shorthaired Puppy
again and later
2nd Best Puppy in Show. Kalinka was again Best Shorthaired Veteran, and this time she also won bitches class
and ended up as Best Shorthaired. Now she had to enter the honour ring 2 times, going Best Veteran in Show, and in the big Final
she beated everyone and went to be Best in Show, well done by the old lady at
exactly the show,
where she 9 years ago had her debut going Best in Show Baby.

24.05.11 Time to move:
Now it is time for the R-puppies to move to new homes. They are now 9 weeks old and have developed very well.
Of the puppies with new homes, Runa was the first one to be chosen, she is moving to Albertslund to a
family,
who always have had dogs and also a dachshund. Herluf and Christian has visited Runa several times during her upbringing.
Rex will in the future live with a young couple in Jyllinge, where he will team up with a 10 year old longhaired
dachshund.
Ritalina is placed with some of Ries friends in Jyllinge, they have visited the puppies on daily basis during the whole upbringing.
Rusia and Røskva is staying with Rie, which means that a little colony of Teckeldogs are formed in Jyllinge.
Now we just need good homes for Rusty (picture), Ronja and Rika.

10.05.11 The R - puppies are now 7 weeks:
They are doing really well and developing as desired, it is a real wish come true litter. Rie has had about 2 weeks of vacation,
and since the weather has been nice, the puppies and Pixie has been outside for most of the day, where they all play and relax
in the sun. They have also been stronly socialized since they are in hands all the time, and therefore they have developed into mentaliý
very strong puppies. They have had a visit from daddy Quiz ( Oscar ), and it was real family time.
4 bitches are reserved and we have quotes for 2 more, so we'll see what happens.

20.04.11 The R litter 3 weeks old:
Now the puppies are 3 weeks old, they have eyes and their ears are open, so the contact to the surrounding world are bigger.
They all have names and a registered pedigree. Already by this time you can sense the difference in their
characters.
Pixie and the puppies live with Rie and her son in Jyllinge, so they were cuddled and loved by people from the beginning, which
strengthens their mentality.
The puppies are doing well and developing into dachshunds of top quality, it is exiting to see the result of this combination of
Russian
and Dutch bloodlines mixed with German and American blood.

08.04.11 News about the T litter:
Now the puppies from the T litter are 12 weeks, and this is the right time for a small puppy to leave for their new homes.
The first ones have moved to their new families.
Tango and Tinka has both moved to Bornholm to live with families who has had
dachshunds before. Twiggy has moved to Odense
to live with a young family as their first dog, and Tarzan has stayed in Jutland also with a young couple, who has their first
dog together. Tarok is also living in Jutland, with a family with a long history in
dachshunds.
All the puppies are doing
well, their new families are very happy with their new family members.
Hopefully the last 3 will also find a new home soon. (See pictures of the 3 boys in the gallery)

21.03.11 Another litter:
21 of March 2011 Pixie gave birth to a lovely litter, all with exciting different colours.
Pixie was mated to Teckels Quiz (Oscar). A lovely well buildt chokolate brown male with a prima temperament,
who pedrgree wise and colour wise was the right choise for Pixie, since we wanted a chokoladte brown merle bitch for the kennel, and we got it.
The new litter, the R - litter, because our new bitch's name is Rusia, consists of 2 males one chokolate brown with tan
and one black merle with tan, besides 6 bitches, 2 are chokolate brown with tan, 2 are chokolate brown merle with tan
and 2 are black merle with tan. All puppies have really fantastic colours, they are healthy and strong.
Pixie is the perfect mother, with lots of milk, and she is nursing them with love. The puppies eat and move around.

31.01.11 Puppies:
Thursday 13th of January 2011 Ohotnichyi Azart Gabrielle II known as Gabi gave birth to her first litter,
she was mated to Teckels Nicki. Gabi had a rally nice and easy pregnancy, but became really big. Her birth was on time
and all natural - a nice and large litter consisting of 5 male puppies, 1 is
chocolate brown with tan
and the other 4 are black and tan, and the 3 female puppies are all black and tan.
Both mom and puppies are doing well and the puppies are developing nicely.

26.01.11 STATUS:
Leaving 2010 behind. A year where dark clouds covered the kennel, but luckily there were also bright moments.
The activities have not been many this year due to illness, but one of the highlights have
definitely been to judge a World Winner
show for the 4th time.
Spring 2010 we had to make the hard decision to say goodbye to Teckels Octavia, she was incurable ill.
It is a very tough and painful decision to make, but one of the obligations you have as a dog owner, a dogs
life must be dignified.
Teckels Ophelia was growing continuously during her pregnancy summer 2010, and it turned out that the birth would be complicated,
caused by 2 puppies growing a lot, causing an caesarean. Ophelias uterus had been distended so much,
that we had to remove it during the operation, that luckily went well, both Ophelia and 6 puppies survived.
Sadly the clouds hadn't gone completely away. The Sunday before Christmas, I hadn't closed the gate properly,
and Teckels Pikant went hunting in 15 - 2o degrees cold and new snow. I followed her tracks around the property
and found her dead in the roadside about ½ km from Munkhøj undoubtly hit by a car. It was a
painful loss,
partly since she was a wonderful and playful dog, and partly she had developed into a beautiful well built dog
with great winner chances at shows, and partly a very eager and cleaver hunter.
Luckily there has also been some sunshine. Teckels Punch wrote himself into the line of Teckeldogs, who has become
Danish Show Champion, when at 3 of the latest 4 shows winning the working class with CAC.
Well done Punch.

12.11.10 Puppies 7 weeks old:
The puppies are now 7 weeks old, it is amazing how fast they develop. They have been outside and have been experiencing
many new impressions and sounds. They are very curios and show a strong mentality. Everything must be examined
and they are not afraid of strange sounds or fast moving objects, also molehills must be examined.

09.11.10 Show news:
Another Teckel-dog is now a Danish Champion.
This weekend there were international show in Herning. Teckels Punch participated both days and won the working class
both dyas with CAC and he is hereby DK CH (S). Big congratulations, well done.

31.10.10 The puppies are almost 6 weeks now:
Now the puppy bin is really busy. The puppies eat, fight and play. Today they got raw bones for the first time, and it was a great success.
The weather is not good, so they haven't been outside yet, but have to stay in my room. Luckily they are quiet and calm
between 23-7, so I get my sleep.
But at 7 it is time to play again, it is especially the 2 girls together with Sputnik who leads the play. It starts with biting the nearest
and then jumping out of the basket with the other one following. It is a kind of play that is repeated several times
until it
is time for a nap again.
This weekend Astrid and Ulrik (grandchildren) have been here to visit, and as last year the choice fell on a
chocolate brown puppy
as the favourite - Smartie.

21.10.10 The puppies are now 4 weeks:
In my 44 years as a breeder I think I have never seen a litter like this. They are now 4 weeks old and have absolutely no interest in
Ophelia's food- and water bowl, but simply lies on their backs in the puppy bin enjoying life, relaxed,
satisfied and full,
or biting a bit in each other to get some playing started. Ophelia has so plenty and rich milk, that the puppies are doing really well
without any supplements of any kind. That is pure nature.
The puppies names are:
Teckels Smirnoff is a lovely masculine male puppy with a calm and easy being. He looks to become a handsome
chokolade brown male med nice markings. A wonderful head and very well buildt. Smirnoff leaves when he is 8 weeks to
Ærø together with brother Speedy to live with a nice couple wh has had dogs "for more than 100 years".
Teckels Sputnik is a very handsome and well buildt black male puppy. He looks to become elegant and noble masculine
male with really nice lines, a nice head with beautiful very sharp and warm coloured markings.
Teckels Slash Looks very much like Sputnik, but looks to become a bit more powerful, especially it looks like
his head will be stronger, he too will have a black colour with good markings.
Teckels Speedy Is the smallest of the litter, but he dosen't know that himself. Speedy is a calm and loving puppy,
who looks to become well buildt. Speedy will follow brother Smirnoff and live in Ærøskøping.
Teckels Sushie is a very strong and well buildt female puppy. She looks to become really beautiful with a nice head
and really good body. Sushie has really nice markings. Togehter with sister Smartie she is the most curios and playful puppy of the litter.
Teckels Smartie is the beautiful chokolade brown female puppy of the litter, she has a wonderful dark brown colour
and nice shapr markings. Sushie looks to become a really well buildt and feminine with a nice head. She is playful, loving and curios.

11.10.10 Almost 3 weeks:
The puppies are now almost 3 weeks. The are developing very well, it is a great litter. Ophelia has plenty of milk, which can be seen
on the puppies who have developed the so-called protein spots, that indicates the plenty feeding.
Health wise the puppies are of best materials, their back index are from birth well over 100 with a high grade of security,
since both the mother and the father has high index with high graded security
numbers, also both the mother and the father
are tested free of inheritable eye diseases.
The puppies now has been named and has a registered pedigree. They are
developing their personality,
but I am awaiting a visit from the grandchildren this weekend in order to finally
decide,
who is who, so please have some patience.

03.10.10 10 Days old:
The puppies are now 10 days old. They are growing and developing really well. They have started moving around in the puppy basket,
and Ophelia is still very caring.
Unfortunately a little black bitch left us on 3rd day, she was eating well but didn't gain weight.
Now the litter consists of 6 lovely puppies, who already are forming their personalities.
The grandchildren are working hard on finding names for the 6 wonders,
so next time we update the puppies will have names and they will have a
registered pedigree.

27.09.10 The S-litter is here:
21.09 Ophelia gave birth to her puppies and now she has 7 wonderful puppies. They are very alike in size and all of them are strong
and full of life.
There are already a clear difference between males (4) and bitches (3).
Unfortunately there are only 2 puppies of the very desired colour
Chocolate (brown) with tan - a male and a female, while the rest are black and tan.
Mother nature is not always calculation with the mathematic formula for
inheriting.
7 puppies in one litter are many, maybe even too many for our breed, but when Ophelia last year - Q-litter - turned out to be an excellent
mother, she got to keep all of them, and then we will support her all we can. But in our kennel we do things naturally,
so no extra supplements are given in order to survive
Ophelia is a really great mother, she drinks and eats with large appetite (today's dinner was raw meat with normal dog food,
sour milk and calcium/vitamin added) takes wonderfully care of the puppies, she is all the time busy nursing them and making sure that
there are room for all in the milk bar, where by the way there is plenty of milk.
Besides Ophelia is behaving like an angel, of course she is busy with her puppies, but when today was "bone-day" in the kennel,
where all get their bones served in the yard, Ophelia participated and had time to chew on her bone for 15 - 20 min.
before the urge to check the puppies showed. To behave like this the day after the birth shows a great deal of well
being.

09.09.10 Puppies:
Once again there are puppies on the way in Kennel Teckel.
We expect that Teckels Ophelia will give birth end September. She is mated with Nero v.d. Mibafs Hoeve,
which means that it is a remaking of the very successful Q-litter from last summer, where several of the puppies already have shown
successfully.
You will be able to follow the puppies here on the website and of course you are welcome to contact us for more news.

01.09.10 X-ray result:
Now Gabi has also had her back x-rayed and has a really nice result, since she has status K0,
which means that she is now also ready to be a part of the breeding programme.
Maybe she will have puppies during the fall.

01.09.10 Show in Vejen 15.08.10:
At the DKK international show in Vejen multichampion Teckels Kalinka entered the ring after a long break for more than 2 years.
Even though we hadn't trained before the show, Kalinka did really well again.
She won the veteran class, and it was also her debut in the
veteran class, with Excellent 1 and also best bitch ending the day going BOS. Well done of the old girl
, who sadly isn't in excessive good condition due to my state.

30.08.10 The puppies from Q-litter last summer are
making an entrance:
Teckels Quicki (picture) had her debut on an international show in Finland
with great success.
Quicki was awarded Excellent 1 in junior class and ended ip as 2.nd best in
bitches class only beaten by a Russian champion.
A really nice debut.
Same day Teckels Quiz had his debut at DGK's
unofficial show in Slangerup, where he was the best shorthaired standard
Dachs in front of very experienced showdogs, that was also a very nice debut.
It is exiting to see if they can keep up the successes in the future.

08.08.10 News update:
The website updates has been quite slow lately due to illness, but now it
is up for updating, so more news will follow soon.

26.03.10 X-ray results:
Finally a result of the x-rays. It is a long time - more than 1½ month - to wait, yes far to long, but the
result was nice.
Pikant has status K1, Punch K2 and Pixie K3, which means that all 3 of them can be a part of our
breeding programme.
Luckily their calcifications are in the breast region, which means that there are no immediate risk
of disc herniation for them.

11.02.10 X-ray:
Today Pixie and Pikant were x-rayed together with brother
Punch,
so now an interesting period starts while waiting for the results.
We are of course hoping for nice results for them all.
It is of upmost importance to know the status of their backs in the future breeding.

17.09.09 Eye test:
Today Pixie and Pikant went to an eye test. It is always exciting, but luckily you get the result at once.
They were both - like all our breeding dogs - found clear, which means that they don't have any of the 13
inheritable diseases the test include.
This means that the road is clear for them to be a part of the breeding programme in the kennel.
That is very nice.

09.09.09 Last puppy leaving:
Today Quiz left as the last puppy of the litter. It is always sad to say goodbye to the puppies
even if their new homes are chosen with upmost care. It was a special experience to send Quiz on the way.
Inger visited and choose Quiz 2-3 weeks ago, and this time she was recieved with licking and happy sounds, it seemed like
he recogniced her, and wanted to tell how happy he was.

23.08.09 Show and puppy news:
Yesterday we went to DGK's show in Ringe. Teckels Pixie was once again Excellent 1 in open class and 3. Best Bitch.
A very nice result.
Today the last puppy Teckels Quiz has been sold, he will go to Gilleleje. Inger couldn't stand to his charm, his calm
and loving mentality and his beautiful chocolatebrown colour.
Quiz still looks to be a very beautiful masculine male. He will have a great home with a real dog minded family,
where there has been dachshunds for 40 years.

14.08.09 The second puppy has left:
Now Quite Lucky has left us, he has been very confident with his new family, since they have paid him regularly visits
througout his entire upbringing. The last few times he has meet Lærke with a waggin tail,
when she called his name, and he licked both Lærke, Line and Connie, when they picked him up.
Quite Lucky has gotten a really nice home, and we will meet him again for sure.
Now there are only 3 puppies here, it is really much to short time you have the amll puppies, but they have to go to
their new homes, in order for the new family to appreciate them and shape their new family menbers.
Quicki and Quinni are leaving by the end of the month, only Quiz still needs a good home.
All the puppies have developed as expected and looks to be beautiful and loving dogs with a strong personality.

07.08.09 The first puppy left:
Today as the first puppy Teckels Queen has left to her new home, it is always
sad to see the puppies leave here, but she has a really great home with
Bettina, Kim and Thomas, where she will be spoiled beond belief.
Queen looks to be a very pretty bitch, and she is very loving,
we will definetly see more of her.

26.07.09 Latest news:
Today the puppies got deworming and was also on the weight. It is amazing to see how similar they are,
4 puppies had the excact same weight: 1800 grams, Quinni alone is with her 1500 grams a little smaller.
All are doing well and are developing really nice, they are very playfull. Ophelia is a great mother,
she is educating and playing with them, so they are stimulated in the right direction.

14.07.09 Ophelia's puppies are now 4 weeks old:
The puppies are now 4 weeks and much more active, they jump out of the puppy basket and play in the puppy area.
They have started getting som supplying food (A-38 a kind of youghourt), but mostly they just take a bath in it, since Ophelia
has plenty of milk.
The puppies have gotten names and registred in the Danish Kennel Club and are beginning to act like small personalities.

Teckels Quiz
is going to be a beautiful masculine male with a great head and excellent bones. He is going to get a wonderful dark brown colour
with good markings. Quiz is a calm puppy, who loves to lie on his back getting his tummy rubbed.
Teckels Quite Lucky
is going to be an elegant noble male with nice long lines and a pretty head, he will have very nice markings.
Quite Lucky is a very social and loving puppyp, who in the future will live with Lærke.
Teckels Queen
is going to be a strong bitch. She is well build and will have a beautiful colour with nice markings.
Queen is a curios and exploring puppy, and she was the first to jump out of the basket.
Teckels Quicki
is going to be a beautiful well build bitch with a beautiful head and with nice markings. Quicki is the most active puppy of the litter
, and she loves to play with the others. Quicki will travel to Finland, when she is old enough.
Teckels Quinni
is going to be a very feminine little bitch with a beautiful brown colour with nice markings. Quinni is the smallest of the litter,
which is not visible when the play at all. Quinni is going to live with Gudrun and Hans Jørgen where she will replace Teckels Gallant,
who dies 14 years old of kidney failiure.

29.06.09 Opehlia's puppies 2 weeks old:
Now the puppies are starting to open their eyes, and they are beginning to get their own personality, it is always
very exciting to follow their development.
We have one of our grand children on vacation, so now the puppies are extra coddled and cared for many times a day,
Ophelia thinks it is nice with some relief.
Next week the puppies are given names (The plan is made) and registered in the kennel club, so next time the puppies will appear individual
in the news.

19.06.09 1 week old:
Now Ophelia's puppies are 1 week old. The are all doing well and growing nicely, they are strong and thight.
The mother has plenty of milk and is still very caring.
She has begun to come into the bed with me at night,
but only for very short visits, because as soon as the puppies makes a sound, she is back in the puppy basket,
but at 6.30 (precisely) she wakes me up - she wants to go outside.

16.06.09 Now there are puppies:
Ophelia gave birth to 6 puppies 12.06.09, but one small balck male puppy was to weak to survive.
But now she has a lovely litter with 5 puppies, 1 black/tan male, 1 chocolate/tan male, 1
black/tan bitch and 2 chocolate/tan bitches.
Both the mom and the puppies are doing very well, and the mom is very caring and is busy nursing her puppies.
It looks to be a very nice litter.

07.06.09 Expected puppies:
After more than 2 years, once again we are expecting puppies in Kennel Teckel, since Teckels Ophelia is having puppies with
Nero v.d. Mibaf's Hoeve. The puppies are to be born mid June, and we expect both black and tan and chocolate and tan.

26.03.09 Nicki father again:
On 12.03.09 Teckels Nicki once again became father to a lovely litter consisting of 4 males and 3 females.
The mother is Tanne - a daugther of our Nero v.d. Mibaf's Hoeve and Teckels Hell.
The puppies are doing well and the mother is very happy about them. |
13.12.08 The year of dogactivities are over, and it is
time to make a status and plan for the next years activities:
We have had a really good year, been to 8 shows and 2 working tests.
At the show side, we have 3 times been awarded best bitch and 2 of theese been best of breed with Teckels Kalinka
and her daughter Teckels Pixie, furthermore Pixie has been best of opposite. That is really well done for Pixie's 1st
show year, since she has 4 times been awarded Excellent 1 and 2 times Excellent 3.
By winning in Frederikshavn Kalinka became Clubchampion. That is her 9th titel, well done.
At the year's last DGK show, we had a breedersclass awarded honoursprice, and Teckels Nicki had a nice
progenyclass also awarded honoursprice.
Teckels Nicki has also done a great jo this year, since he got a 1st price in the grave trial and thereby became Norwegian
and Nordic Champion.
We haven't had any puppies this year, but we are hoping for a litter or two next year, and we are also planning
to start training for the working trials, since we want our youngsters tried in working.
Next year Pixie and Pikant are old enough to have their backs x-rayed and to have their eyes tested, so that is also
part of the plans for the coming year.
Personally I have said "No thanks" to judging at many shows next year, it is about time to slow down these activities,
which will also give more time to our own dogs.

14.08.08 The 3rd Champion title this year:
With her victory in Frederikshavn, Teckel's Kalinka can add the title
Danish Clubchamipon to her already long record. It was her 9th title, and she can now rightfully be called a Multichampion.

04.08.08 Another Teckeldog as BOB:
At the show in Frederikshavn last weekend, Teckels Kalinka was BOB out of 48 entered shorthaired standart dachshounds.
It was Kalinka's 5 BOB-victory. Kalinka ended the day as BIS 3. Also Teckels Pixie was entered and was
Excellent 3 in juniorclass. |
22.07.08 New member of the family:
At the World Dog Show in Stockholm, we became a new dog to our kennel from
one of the leading breeders in Russia.
Ohotnichyi Azart Gabriella II - known as
Gabi was ceded to us.
Gabi is a black and tan bitch born
17.03.2008 after Int.Ch, RusCh, BulCh and GrandCh Veles Altess ot Dmitrievoy
and IntCh, RusCh, FinCh, DKCh, LitCh, RomCh, BlrCh, MolCh, UkrCh, GeoCh og
BulCh Teckels Madame Noir.
In this way Gabi is a combination of Dutch, German, Russian and
Danish breeding and is very special.
Gabi is a very well build and mentally
great dog, and we are quite sure that you will all see more of her in the future. |

23.06.08 Nicki became father to two litters this weekend:
It has been an exiting weekend, since Teckels Nicki has sired two litters. Friday 20.06.08 Gucci, a daughter of
Nero v.d. Mibaf's Hoeve and Teckels Hell, gave birth to 2 bitches 1 black/tan and 1 choklade/tan.
Saturday d.21.06 Teckels Luna, daughter of Nero v.d. Mibaf's Hoeve and Ohotnichyi Azart Victoria, gave birth to 4 puppies,
but unfortuneately only 1 chokolade/tan male ( Ronaldo ) and 1 black/tan BITCH ( Kaisa ) are alive.
They are all doing well, and the mothers are tacking good care of their puppies. The father is thoug very calm.

17.06.08 New titles for Nicki!!
Sunday 15.06.08 Nicki attended a test - he did very well and recieved a 1.price (56 points), hereby he bacame Norwegian champion,
and since he already is Danish and Swedish champion, he recieved the title Nordic champion. Very nice titles to add to his record.

Pixie BOB in Varde!!!
We attended a show 01.06.08 in Varde, and Pixie did a great impression at the judge og became the title BOB.
We went on competing in honour ring, but unfortunately without placement.
